About

Peggy Pei-Chun Hsieh

Learning experience designer & consultant, based in Taiwan

Short version

I design learning experiences and run the programmes around them. Today I facilitate professional cohorts at TalentLabs; before that I managed international university partnerships at National Cheng Kung University, and spent six years as a senior education consultant guiding students overseas.

The thread through all of it is people learning something that matters to them — and the practical craft of getting them to start and finish. I work in English and Mandarin, and I'm as comfortable with instructional design as with the marketing and facilitation it takes to fill a room and keep it.

  • 2013 – 2019 Senior Education Consultant, Chiao Chun International — overseas study advising, education events, and partner development with institutions abroad.
  • 2012 – 2013 Account Broker, Aon Hewitt — employee-benefits consulting and bilingual client seminars and presentations.
  • 2010 – 2011 Master of International Business, Queensland University of Technology, with an exchange semester at WU Vienna.

What I care about

I believe completion is a design problem. Most learning doesn't fail because people lack willpower; it fails at the small moments where the next step isn't obvious, or isn't worth it. I care about designing those moments well — and about learning that respects people's time, especially learners moving between languages and cultures.
